Master of Science in Computer Science
The Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) provides an advanced and in-depth coverage of the field. In addition to setting a strong foundation for further graduate studies at doctoral level, the MSCS allows a number of elective courses in computer science to prepare future master graduates in a computing field of specialization. The degree requires 36 semester credit hours of computer science courses at graduate level as follows:
- COSC 5345 Advanced Algorithm Analysis
- COSC 5361 Computability Theory
- COSC 5362 Complexity Theory
- COSC 6300 Master Thesis
- COSC 6301 Master Thesis
- 21 advanced semester credit hours of prescribed elective courses in computer science at graduate level to be selected in consultation with the student's thesis advisor and with graduate advisor's approval. The most updated list of courses can be found in the latest Graduate Catalog.
Master students encouraged to select a thesis advisor as soon as possible. For more information please contact the
